ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) -- Even with the Cardinals 9-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants, Cardinal fans continue to support the home team and are already looking forward to 2013.
“It’s just not good that they lost,” lifelong Cardinals fan Richard Short said. “It will be alright though, we will be back.”
Traditionally, that is the optimism St. Louis fans have taken during the rough patches.
Some fans had so much hope for the defending World Champions, they bought World Series tickets before the Cardinals even took the field in San Francisco. So, what do you do if you have tickets to a 2012 Cardinals World Series game? The Cardinals have already started issuing refunds. For more information on refunds, visit the Cardinals' website.
Refunds should have automatically been added to the credit cards of fans who bought tickets online or over the phone. Those who bought physical tickets have until July 1st to complete the refund form and send it back to the ticket office.
While 2012 is now in the record books, fans have two dates to mark on their calendars: April 1 and April 8. The Cardinals will begin their 12 in ’13 campaign in Arizona on April 1, then will be back at Busch the following week.
