Here's a look back at the St. Louis Cardinals 10th World Series Championship.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Detroit Tigers 4 games to 1 in the 2006 World Series.  The Cardinals won Game 1 in Detroit.

Game 2 ended with a Cardinal loss and many lingering questions.  Tigers starter Kenny Rogers was the winning pitcher but was thoroughly accused of having an illegal substance on his pitching hand.  This substance was believed to be pine tar and aided Rogers in exaggerating the movement of his pitches.

The Cardinals won Game 3, Game 4, Game 5 to lock up the franchise’s 10th title.
