(KMOV) – With the series tied 2-2, the average ticket price to Game 5 of the World Series dropped dramatically overnight because the game is no longer a clincher.
According to TiqIQ, a ticket aggregating site, the average ticket price dropped about 40 percent from $840 on Sunday to $479 on Monday.
The cheapest price for a standing room only ticket Monday afternoon was listed at $195, more than half of the $442 listed as the cheapest ticket the day before. The most costly ticket was going for more than $7,100.
The average ticket for Games 5 and 6 in Boston are still being sold for more than $1,600, with the cheapest listed at more than $590.
