JUPITER, Fla - With just one more start to go before he makes his 2013 regular season debut, Jake Westbrook says he's still using spring training as a way to build up his pitch count.  He had held the Mets to just one run through five innings but gave up two more in the sixth.

"I got a little tired.  I hate to admit that but I did," Westbrook explained. "But that's what spring training is for, to get to that limit and to push myself and get into that 90 pitch count range."

"Granted I'd like to have pitched a little better in the sixth but for that to be the case that's another step in the right direction. I got one more start and hopefully get into that 90 to 100 range again and build off that."

Westbrook finished his day with a final line of going six innings while giving up three runs (just two earned) on five hits.  He walked two and struck out three.  He's got a 3.60 ERA in Grapefruit League play.
