(BaseballStL) -- After a random sweep of the major internet baseball sights, the majority of the analysts seem be to picking the Cardinals. The reason most often sighted is the Cardinals superior starting pitching. Michael Wacha’s emergence as a stopper has tipped the advantage to the Redbirds. But the “experts” who set the odds see it differently. The folks at Bovada have established the Red Sox as a slight favorite to win the Series. The odds, of course, are for entertainment purposes only. What else would they be for? I have no idea. Anyway, the Red Sox are listed at -140. That means if you wanted to win $100 on the Red Sox you’d have to bet $140 on them to win. The Cardinals are listed at +120. You’d have to bet +100 on the Cardinals to win to earn $120. Keep in mind Bovada also had the Dodgers favored to beat the Cardinals in the NLCS.
