(BaseballStL) -- Nolan Ryan was on a Dallas radio show on Monday afternoon when he made the bold prediction that the Texas Rangers will defeat the St. Louis Cardinals in six games.

Of course, Ryan would predict the Texas Rangers would win it all because he is the team’s president.

Ryan also said he would be disappointed if the team is beaten by the Cardinals after losing last year in the World Series to the San Francisco Giants.

Ryan was a pitcher for the Rangers for five seasons.  In his 27 year career as a player, Nolan was 324-292 with a 3.19 ERA.

Ryan was selected to the 1999 Hall of Fame class on the first time on the ballot.  He received 98.8% of the votes.

The Rangers have defeated the Tampa Bay Rays and Detroit Tigers to get to the World Series.  They finished 96-66 in the regular season.
