(BaseballStL) -- A sharp single hit to left field in the third inning extended Yadier Molina’s hit streak to 10 games in a 3-0 win over the Rockies on Friday.

Molina, who finished 2-for-4, loaded the bases with the one-out hit in the third, but Colorado starter Jon Garland was able to get the next two St. Louis batters out to end the inning. He is 18-for 39 during the streak.

In his career, Molina is .289 (43-for-149) with seven doubles, two home runs and 17 runs batted in 44 games against the Rockies.

The 10-game hit streak is a team-high for the Cardinals this season.
