(BaseballStL) -- Brewers starter Marco Estrada might have nightmares of Yadier Molina after the Cardinals catcher continued his hot streak against the right-hander on Monday.
Entering the game with a .500 batting average in 18 at-bats against Estrada, Molina added another three hits to his total including a go-ahead RBI double in the fourth inning in an 8-5 win.
He would add another single off reliever Brandon Kintzler in the eighth inning and . It was his third consecutive multi-hit game and third four-hit game of the season. He grounded out to the pitcher in the ninth inning in his bid to get his first career five-hit game.
As Molina continued his dominance of Estrada, Carlos Beltran was just finding his groove. Beltran entered the game with only one hit, a home run, in eight career at-bats off Estrada, but blasted his team-leading 21st home run in the first inning and added two more hits in the fifth and eighth inning.
The pair combined to finish 7-for-10 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in the victory.
