(BaseballSTL) -- Cardinals manager Mike Matheny says he’s not concerned that Game 2’s 7-1 loss to the Pirates is sign of what’s to come in the remainder of the series.

Matheny said,  “I think this team has bounced back well from having some tough losses, and every club does through a long season, but I’ve been very proud of how this club hasn’t worn a loss longer than they need to. They need to wear it for a little time, let it sit and fester, but everybody needs to realize that’s not what we’re looking for. We make the adjustments and get right back after it the next day. Our guys have taken a very professional approach to that.”

Matheny refused to reveal his Game 3 starting line-up. He says he’ll do that tomorrow before the game, but not any earlier than that.

We do know that Joe Kelly will be on the mound. Kelly was 3-0 against the Pirates this season, and says he thrives in the kind of loud atmosphere Pirates fans are sure to generate.

“It’s going to be fun,” said Kelly. “That’s what playoff baseball is about. We dream about it as a little kid. It’s going to be a great time. The atmosphere is going to be electric. Our side is looking for it. Their side is going to be looking for it. We’re just going to go out there and have a good ballgame.”
