(BaseballStL) -- Pete Kozma was back in the lineup for the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday for the first time since July 3.

Kozma, who has started 76 games at shortstop this season, sat each of the last three days as a mental breather while stuck in a 0-for-17 skid in his previous five games played.

That skid would grow longer after going hitless in two at-bats, including a sharply hit ball back to Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez in the fourth inning and a pop out to second base in the sixth inning, in a 3-2 win on Sunday.
