Jackson, Cardinals look to even series against Brewers

(BaseballStL) -- The St. Louis Cardinals will send Edwin Jackson to the mound tonight to try to even the series against Shaun Marcum and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Jackson is 5-2 with a 3.58 ERA since joining the Cardinals in July.  Jackson also won his only start in the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies.  Jackson is 1-1 with a 4.95 ERA in three starts against the Brewers this season.

Marcum has been on a late-season slide which includes a loss in his only start in the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Marcum had a 5.17 ERA in September and has struggled pitching at home this season.  His home pitching record is 5-4 with a 4.81 ERA, but on the road he is 8-3 with a 2.21 ERA.  Marcum is 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA in four starts against the Cardinals this year.

The Cardinals and Brewers will play tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Milwaukee.
