(BaseballStL) -- The Cardinals made a late addition of Allen Craig into the Game 5 starting lineup Monday. Originally ruled out, Craig will take the place of Matt Adams.

The Cardinals will also give the hot-hitting Shane Robinson the start in center field and place him in the two-hole in the lineup for Game 5.

“Yeah, we're trying to do some things in our lineup,” manager Mike Matheny said. “We take everything into consideration and realize that trying to get some more depth. Also trying to get more traffic for the guys that can drive in runs.”

Robinson started Game 1 of the World Series and finished 1-for-3 off Game 5 starter Jon Lester. In seven postseason appearances this season, Robinson is 5-for-13 (.385) with a home run, which was hit during the NLCS against the Dodgers.

“Shane has been doing a nice job taking good at bats,” Matheny said. “Gives him an opportunity with Carp to really set the table and lengthen out our lineup through the middle.”

For the Red Sox, Shane Victorino is out again and Daniel Nava will make the start in his place.

Jonny Gomes, who smacked a go-ahead three-run home run in Game 4, will move up to bat in the cleanup spot behind David Ortiz. Dustin Pedroia moves to the two-hole in the Boston lineup.
