(BaseballStL) -- After hitting a game-winning home run to send the World Series to a Game 7, what else is there left for St. Louis Cardinals third baseman David Freese to do? Tweet, that is.
Shortly after hitting a blast to dead center field, Freese wanted to make sure to give the fans some love from him, personally, on Twitter.
Freese (@dfreese23) tweeted “Not much to say but thanks everybody. Like I said though... unfinished business. One more. #worldseries #totalteamwin”.
Freese, who grew up in St. Louis, also credited right fielder Lance Berkman with helping him to control his emotions during the big games.
“This guy next to me (Lance Berkman) from day one has taught me so much as far as just how to go about this game,” Freese told reporters after Game 6. “It’s incredible to be part of this.”
Freese, who was NLCS MVP, is batting .393 with five home runs and 19 RBIs in 17 games played this postseason.
