(BaseballStL) -- Cardinals third baseman David Freese left in the fifth inning of Game 3 against the Dodgers due to right calf tightness, according to the team’s Twitter account.

Freese left the game after he smacked a single to right field. It was the team’s first hit of the game.

He was replaced by Daniel Descalso who would later be doubled-off at second base when he misjudged a line drive to left field.
