Jupiter, FL (BaseballStL) -- It would not surprise anyone if Matt Carpenter received a lot of time in right field - or first base with Allen Craig in right - in order to give Carlos Beltran that time off he so desperately needs to make sure he’s as healthy as possible in August and September.

The Cards are trying to find as many at-bats as possible for Carpenter anyway, so it just makes the most sense to use right field as a way to make that happen.
