ST. LOUIS (BaseballStL) -- Chris Duncan is recovering after having a tumor removed from his head, the former Cardinals player announced on 101 ESPN Monday.
For three weeks Duncan has been off the airwaves on The Fast Lane at WXOS, where he has the highest-rated sports-talk show in St. Louis along with Randy Karraker and former Ram D’Marco Farr.
It is unknown when Duncan might return full-time to his radio gig. His father, Dave, was the Cardinals pitching coach before announcing last offseason that he was taking time off to be with his wife and Chris’ mother, Jeanine, who has had a brain tumor.
Duncan, 31, posted a .257 batting average and 55 home runs in five seasons with the Cardinals. He won a World Series with the Cardinals in 2006.
