(BaseballStL) -- Reds All-Star second baseman Brandon Phillips will most likely sit out Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.
Phillips was pulled after five innings in Monday night's game after experiencing cramping in his left hamstring.
The injury is not thought to be serious. Phillips told reporters in Cinci that he hoped to play Tuesday, while head coach Dusty Baker says he will probably give his lead-off hitter the night off.
No word if the injury will prevent Phillips from firing off inflammatory tweets targeting the Cardinals and their fans on his Twitter account.
Overall it was a lousy night to be a Reds fan, of the 16,000 that bothered to show up they saw their starter get hammered by Cardinal batters in the first inning and then later watch as Phillips was pulled.
Kyle Lohse is on the mound for his second start Tuesday against the Reds, follow the game live on the BaseballStL mobile app.
