SAN FRANCISCO (BaseballStL) – It took five-plus games for retaliation for the hard slide into second base on Marco Scuatro by Matt Holliday in Game 2.

Giants starter Matt Cain plunked Holliday in the arm with an 0-2 count to start the sixth inning.

Some took to Twitter to call it “bush” considering it didn’t happen until the Giants had a 7-0 lead in the final game of the series to make the move.

Holliday gave a quick glance after being hit by the pitch, but took first base with no incident.
