DETROIT (BaseballStL) – Outfielder Carlos Beltran extended his hit streak to eleven games following a single in the sixth inning on Tuesday.
Beltran singled to right off of Tigers starter Justin Verlander, who allowed five hits in seven innings pitched. He was previously 0-for-5 with two strikeouts before the single.
During the eleven-game streak, Beltran is 19-for-43 with four home runs.
