(BaseballStL) -- Carlos Beltran will be back in the St. Louis lineup for Game 2 Thursday night. After leaving early in the World Series opener with a rib injury he sustained robbing a David Ortiz home run, Beltran's status was listed day-to-day. 

The 36-year-old will bat second and play right field for the Cardinals. Jon Jay is back in the lineup, resuming duties in center field. After a rough opening game, Pete Kozma will cede shortstop duties to utility man Daniel Descalso. 

Here is the full St. Louis lineup:
