Update to Cards lineup:
Mike Matheny just informed me that Carlos Beltran is still "too tender" in his little toe and will miss today's game versus Washington.  Oscar Taveras will start in right field and hit second.
Matheny says Beltran will still go to the World Baseball Classic but isn't sure how much this will affect him in the tournament.
From before:
Adam Wainwright becomes the first Cards starter to take the ball for the second time as he faces the Washington Nationals in a rematch of Game 5 of the National League Division Series.  The Redbirds came from two runs down in the ninth inning that October day in our nation's capital to shock the Nats and advance to the NLCS.
Wouldn't you know it?  Even Gio Gonzalez, Washington's starter for that game, is pitching today too.
The rest of the Cards lineup is as follows:
1) Jon Jay - CF
2) Oscar Taveras - RF
3) Matt Holliday - LF
4) Allen Craig - DH
5) Yadier Molina - C
6) David Freese - 3B
7) Daniel Descalso - 2B
8) Ty Wigginton - 1B
9) Ronny Cedeno - SS
Following Wainwright will be Shelby Miller - making his first appearance of spring - along with Mitchell Boggs, Fernando Salas, Michael Blazek, Eric Fornataro, Barret Browning, and Kevin Siegrist.
