NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Sooners will be on the road to take on No. 8 Kansas in Big 12 basketball. OU has won three of its last four to improve to 20-7 on the season and 9-5 in the Big 12 after an 86-73 win over Kansas State on Saturday. Kansas is 21-6 overall and 12-2 in the conference following an 85-54 win over Texas on Saturday. Tip-off for Monday's game is set for 8:05 p.m. at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Two Missouri students who went toe-to-toe for 66 rounds in the annual Jackson County spelling bee aren't quite finished after event organizers ran out of words for the contest. Fifth-grader Sophia Hoffman of Lee's Summit and Kush Sharma, a seventh-grader from Kansas City, buzzed through the list of words provided by the national bee, as well as 20 others plucked from the dictionary. After about five hours, officials decided to continue the competition March 8 at an undetermined library location.

MIAMI (AP) — With LeBron James watching from the bench in a suit and tie, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade powered the Miami Heat to a 93-79 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. Bosh tied a career high with four 3-pointers and had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Wade added 23 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Mario Chalmers contributed 12 points and nine assists.
