LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Montrezl Harrell scored 14 points to lead five Louisville players in double figures as the seventh-ranked Cardinals routed Missouri-Kansas City 90-62 on Wednesday night. The Cardinals controlled the game throughout and steadily pulled away in the second half. Nelson Kirksey and Martez Harrison had 14 points apiece for UMKC.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) —The Chiefs have finally started to put up some offense the last three weeks, but bobbled balls and drops have kept them from putting even more points on the board. As the Chiefs head to Washington on Sunday, coach Andy Reid said everyone has to do a better job of making plays when they're put in the position to do so.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals must wait another week to find out if their bid to purchase a minor-league affiliate in Memphis is approved. The Memphis City Council on Tuesday night delayed a vote on the proposed agreement between the Cardinals and the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that elected officials want more time to review the purchase contract.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Tim Barnes is set to make his first career start at center Sunday against Arizona in place of injured Scott Wells. Barnes was a three-year starter at center for Missouri from 2008-10. Before playing the second half of Sunday's loss at San Francisco after Wells broke his left ankle, he'd gotten only special teams duty in 26 games the past two seasons with St. Louis.
