WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington southpaw Gio (JEE'-oh) Gonzalez was perfect through five innings this afternoon against the Chicago Cubs. Then Cubs catcher Dioner Navarro (DEE'-nur nah-VAHR'-oh) led off the sixth with an infield single as Washington is leading Chicago 1-0 late in the game.

It was Nadal's seventh straight final since recovering from a nagging case of tendinitis in his left knee that sidelined him for seven months.
