ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Blues have earned home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs by defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1. Brian Elliott made 22 saves and Jaden Schwartz had his first two-goal game. The Blues won 12 of their last 15 games to capture fourth place in the Western Conference.

UNDATED (AP) — In Major League Baseball, the Kansas City Royals held on to beat the Cleveland Indians 3-2. Salvador Perez's two-run homer helped Kansas City get the win at home. And in St. Louis, the Pittsburgh Pirates rallied to beat the Cardinals 5-3. Russell Martin hit a two-run home run to highlight a four-run seventh inning for Pittsburgh.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas State fullback Braden Wilson will have a chance to play in front of friends and family after getting drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round. The 6-foot-4, 251-pound Wilson from Smith Center, Kansas, helped to protect Heisman Trophy finalist Collin Klein last year for the Wildcats.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Rams traded both of their sixth-round picks to the Houston Texans and concluded their draft by selecting Vanderbilt running back Zac Stacy in the fifth round. The 5-8, 216-pound Stacy was third in the SEC with 1,141 yards rushing as a senior with 10 touchdowns.
