ST. LOUIS (AP) — Chris Stewart recorded his 100th career goal and 100th career assist last night in the St. Louis Blues' 3-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche. Patrik Berglund and Andy McDonald also scored for the Blues, who clinched a playoff berth with two games to spare. Cody McLeod had Colorado's lone goal.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Adam Wainwright pitched eight-plus scoreless innings last night to lead the St. Louis Cardinals past the Washington Nationals 2-0. The right-hander lowered his ERA to 1.93 after allowing just five hits. Allen Craig and Carlos Beltran drove in runs for St. Louis.

DETROIT (AP) — Rain postponed yesterday's game between the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers. The matchup was delayed at the start and called off about 15 minutes later. No makeup date was announced.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs enter the NFL draft tomorrow night with the No. 1 choice for the first time in franchise history. The Chiefs are likely going to shore up their offensive line with the top pick. Kansas City is also open to trading out of the first pick.
