(BaseballStL) -- Kolten Wong will get another first Friday. The young call-up will get his first taste of the home crowd in the second game with the Braves.
Wong will bat seventh in his inaugural home start, a night game at Busch.
The 22-year-old said he's anxious to look out into the sea of fans in his new home stadium, a park that he says is noticeably bigger than his last.
"You can see how big it is when you're on the field," he said in the clubhouse Friday. "I'm excited to see the fans tonight when I'm actually playing second base."
The speedy infielder has nabbed three bases already in his time in the bigs, something the Cardinals do not excel at.
Wong said the coaches in Memphis had him test his limits on the base paths, giving him a permanent green light- a situation that is altogether different now that he's in St. Louis.
"You run when they tell you to run," he laughed. "It takes the pressure off."
