COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Columbia, South Carolina and Columbia, Missouri are 871 miles apart and will take some fans more than 15 hours to travel, but some Mizzou students are making the trek to see Mizzou take on South Carolina.

This will be Mizzou’s first game on the road this season and will be its first ever SEC road game. The Gamecocks are ranked seventh in the nation and have a 3-0 record overall.  Mizzou is coming off a three-game home stand to start off the season 2-1.

Mizzou’s first SEC game against Georgia didn’t turn out too well, but with students finishing up the first round of exams for the semester, many are making the journey to Columbia, South Carolina.

I don’t expect this to be the SEC road game with the most Mizzou travel.  I’ve heard that several students are definitely making the journey to Knoxville, Tennessee to see Mizzou play Tennessee on November 10.

Mizzou plays against South Carolina at 2:30 on Saturday.
