KIRKWOOD, Mo. (KMOV) -- The Stanley Cup, hockey's most prestigious trophy, is coming to the St. Louis area on Monday.

Former Blues assistant coach Jamie Kompon, an assistant with the world champion L.A. Kings this year, will spend his 24 hours with the trophy in Kirkwood.

Kompon helped coach the Kirkwood High School team during the lockout season and wanted to share his time with the trophy with some of his old Kirkwood friends.

The cup will be at the Kirkwood Community Center ice rink on Monday, August 6 from 11am to 1pm. Fans are invited to come and see the trophy.
