(BaseballStL) -- On Monday when the schedule came out it read that reliever Kevin Siegrist was supposed to pitch a bullpen session.  When he didn't, and it came out that he was a little sore, it appeared as if the lefty was too injured to pitch.

Turns out, that was not the case at all.

"He's so mad right now," manager Mike Matheny explained. "We have flex days.  We have days where a guy can go (but we decide to have him skip that day)."

"They're all going to feel a little something," Matheny said. "(Siegrist) wanted to pitch yesterday and we didn't allow him to."

Siegrist is not expected to miss any more time on the mound.
