ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Cardinals received positive news on Monday from an MRI and CT scan on Michael Wacha's shoulder, according to Cardinals management.
General Manager John Mozeliak confirms to News 4's Maurice Drummond, Cardinals' management is encouraged with the results of the MRI done on his pitching shoulder. They hope to have Wacha in a throwing program in two weeks.
Wacha has been on the disabled list since June 22 with a stress reaction in his throwing shoulder.
While the Cardinals hope to have him throwing again in two weeks, there's no timetable for his return.
