ST. LOUIS (FootballStL) -- A quick glance at the NFL standings and you will see that the playoff picture is starting to become clearer.
The Rams still have an outside shot at making the playoffs as a wild card with four wins and a tie. At the moment, the Packers (7-4) and Seahawks (6-5) lead the race for the two wild card spots. In addition, the Rams still trail the Buccaneers (6-5), Vikings (6-5), Redskins (5-6), Cowboys (5-6) and Saints (5-6).
It will be a tough task for the Rams, but it should be noted that the Rams still have a shot at making the playoffs. (It feels good to write that at this point in the season.)
If the Rams want any chance of winning the division or a wild card, it will need to beat the 49ers (8-2-1) this Sunday.
Almost every division in the NFL is locked up despite no teams having clinched a playoff spot. An exception would be the NFC East and North divisions. The Giants lead the Redskins by two games and the Bears lead the Packers by only one game.
Here is a quick look at the AFC divisional races:
The Patriots lead Dolphins by three games in the AFC East.
The Ravens lead Steelers and Bengals by three games in the AFC North.
The Texans lead the Colts by three games in the AFC South.
The Broncos lead the Chargers by four games in the AFC West.
It looks like the remaining teams should begin to set their sights on one of the two wild card spots. The Colts (7-4) and Steelers (6-5) currently lead the race for the wild card.
