COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Many Mizzou fans have questioned the play of junior quarterback James Franklin in 2012.  Some people want Missouri coach Gary Pinkel to bench Franklin for freshman Corbin Berkstresser.

On Monday, Pinkel confirmed his faith in Franklin.

“He can definitely play better, but is still playing okay,” said Pinkel.  “I believe in him and expect him to get better.”

Franklin has 492 yards passing, 3 passing touchdowns and 1 interception thrown.
