COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Coming off an epic win against Tennessee Saturday, the Missouri Tigers set their sights on possible bowl-eligibility with a win against Syracuse Saturday. One more win would give Mizzou 6 on the season, the bare minimum for being eligible for college football’s postseason.
Junior starting quarterback James Franklin had a tremendous second-half and overtime against Tennessee. He ended the game successfully completing 19 of 32 passes, 226 yards passing, 52 yards running and 4 touchdowns. Despite a statistically poor and injury-ridden season up to this point, Franklin is reportedly healthy.
“This might be the healthiest James has been all season,” said Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel. “Against Tennessee, he threw as good of balls as you can get in college football.”
Pinkel told members of the media Monday that there are no new injuries to report and that everyone scheduled to play Saturday will play against Syracuse.
