COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel started his weekly press conference Monday by telling reporters that junior offensive tackle Justin Britt is now out for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury. Britt will have surgery November 16.
“It’s very disappointing for him obviously,” said Pinkel. “He’s worked very hard. He’s a great kid and we’ll have to adjust.”
With Britt’s injury, the corresponding roster move will move normal starting center sophomore Mitch Morse to right tackle to replace Britt. Redshirt freshman Brad McNulty will become the new starting center with the move of Morse to tackle. McNulty started at center in the victory against Arizona State on September 15.
Other than Britt, Pinkel said the Tigers left Gainesville relatively healthy and now shifting focus to Saturday’s bout against Tennessee.
