(FootballStL) -- Rams owner Stan Kroenke, Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff, and Rams new Head Coach Jeff Fisher spoke to the media for around 20 minutes. Fisher spoke very seriously but did smile occasionally.
Fisher's first words were to thank Mr. Kroenke. The team's sixth head coach since the franchise moved to St. Louis, said there was a couple of main reasons he chose the Rams. One of those reasons was because of the "collective vision" shared by him, Demoff, and Kroenke. He said he wanted to go somewhere where there's a good owner and a good quarterback. Fisher calls his new endeavor a great opportunity for fans and the franchise to get back on track.
Fisher spoke briefly about his quarterback Sam Bradford. He acknowledged it was a difficult year for Bradford but has full confidence in the former Oklahoma Sooner that he will be successful. Fisher said that Bradford has a chance to become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Fisher likes the look of his team saying they can win games, but admitted the Rams do have "holes." When asked what the holes were, Fisher said he didn't want to specify right now.
Now that the head coach is in place the search continues for a general manager, coordinators, and assistant coaches. Fisher didn't cite specific names regarding his coaching staff, but says he has "very good options." Fisher said patience is better than haste in hiring coaches. How much control will he have over the draft and personal issues remains to be seen. Fisher said he was hired to be the head coach, and declined to comment on who has final say on certain issues.
