(BaseballStL) -- Lance Lynn's poor outing last time out likely had more to do with experimentation than anything else.  

Usually in spring training, pitchers work on different pitches that they normally wouldn't use in situations during the regular season, leading to misleading results.

However, sometimes results can actually mean something.  

It's hard to tell exactly what occurred with Lance Lynn in his last start. While he claims to have been experimenting it's not like the pitches he threw were good.  

Most were up in the zone and out over the middle of the plate. The Cardinals need Lynn to be better moving forward.
