COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Mizzou travels to Columbia, South Carolina this Saturday to play a team that will be without one of its star defensive backs.
Senior defensive back D.J. Swearinger has been suspended for the Gamecocks' match up against Missouri due to a brutal hit to the head of an opposing UAB player last week.
South Carolina ranked seventh in the nation and iscoming off a dominant win against University of Alabama-Birmingham last week 49-6.
Swearinger had the second most tackles for South Carolina’s defense in 2011 and has 10 tackles already this season.
