COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Missouri freshman placekicker Andrew Baggett has been named Southeastern Conference Special Teams Co-Player of the Week for his play in the epic win against Tennessee on Saturday.

So far in 2012, Baggett has successfully made 11 of 16 field goal attempts.  Despite early season struggles, the redshirt freshman has made 3 of his last 4 field goals and relishing in his heroics against Tennessee.

With Mizzou making the stop on defense in the 4th-overtime period, all the team needed was a field goal to win.  The Tiger offense moved the ball all the way up to the Tennessee 17-yard line.

The game on the line and Baggett with a chance to win the comeback game against Tennessee and keep Mizzou’s postseason hopes alive.  He successfully kicks the game winning field goal, helping him win SEC Special Teams Co-Player of the Week award.

Baggett is a redshirt freshman walk-on athlete who graduated from North High School in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
