(FOOTBALLStl) - Rams tight end Lance Kendricks and defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo have been removed from the Physically Unable to Perform List (PUP).
Kendricks has been dealing with a torn meniscus in his knee, while Cudjo returns from foot pain that he's experienced since the spring.
Head coach Jeff Fisher expects both players to be ready for the regular season opener on September 8th against Arizona.
"Neither one of them is ready to come out and practice yet," said Fisher, "but we just want to take advantage of the walk-thru reps, and that's what we've done".
Once Kendricks returns to action, he's expected to join Jared Cook to give the Rams bookend-pass catching tight ends. Kendricks recorded 42 receptions for 519 yards last season.
Cudjo has been dealing with foot pain since the team's organized training activities, and finally got an MRI to see the extent of the damage. Cudjo was an undrafted rookie in 2010, who played in 15 games last season. Cudjo had 39 tackles, and finished the year with one sack.
"There's a chance both of them will play in the preseason", said Fisher.
