ST. LOUIS - This is going to be one special weekend for Carbondale, Illinois native Jerry Tucker.  The 63-year old is competing in the 74th Senior PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in front of countless friends and family.

"I just hope I'm not too excited," Tucker said Wednesday during his practice round in preparation for Thursday's start.  "If this were my first (tournament) it'd be impossible.  I'd be headed for 80-something and 80-something (in the first two rounds)."

Tucker says he has 12 people coming from his high school class in Carbondale from 1967 to watch him this weekend.  That's in addition to friends and family, including his 48-year-old brother, Mike, who is the head professional at Bellerive.

"I think it's okay today (Wednesday) but tomorrow I have to focus and just play golf," Tucker said.

The senior PGA professional used to be the head pro at Bellerive but turned those duties over to his brother back in 1996.
