(Missouri Football App) – If the Tigers aren’t careful, the famous words of Admiral Ackbar will describe their game against Kentucky Saturday.
Mizzou will be heavily favored, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be tougher than most think. Missouri must not fall into the danger zone of looking forward to the bye week or to a big road game at Ole Miss.
“Obviously one thing that is different in this league than other leagues I have been associated with is, and that with the SEC there is so little drop off in the talent in this league. Every team is good. I think this also applies to Kentucky,” head coach Gary Pinkel said.
Kentucky may be at bottom of the SEC, but it has put a scare in two ranked teams this season. The Wildcats went into Columbia, SC in early October and nearly upset the Gamecocks by rallying from a 21-point deficit only to lose 35-28. The Wildcats also gave Louisville a run for its money early in the season when the Cardinals were considered a national title contender.
Kentucky's numbers are far from impressive, but college football can be so unpredictable that Mizzou must not overlook anyone.
