SAN FRANCISCO (FootballStL) -- Emerging wide receiver Chris Givens and cornerback Janoris Jenkins were deactivated for Sunday’s game against the 49ers for violating team rules.

The news, which was reported by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, comes at a terrible time considering Givens had been a legitimate threat downfield for the Rams and Jenkins has been a starter all season.

How do your feel about the Rams and 49ers playing to a tie? Share your thoughts.

Givens, who has started each of the last four games, has a reception of 50-plus yards in each of his last five games played.  He has caught 13 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Jenkins has been solid in his rookie year despite a couple of hiccups throughout the season.
