(Missouri Sports App) – It was a big week for Mizzou athletes in both football and basketball.

After putting up 92 points to edge Hawaii in Kansas City, the Tiger basketball team saw its second SEC conference honors of the season.

Tulsa transfer Jordan Clarkson was named SEC player of the week, after putting up 44 points in two games as Mizzou defeated SIU and Hawaii.

Clarkson also added seven assists in those two games.

In football, quarterback James Franklin was announced as a semifinalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, which recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football with ties to the state of Texas.

Franklin, who is from Corinth, Texas, had thrown for 1,577 yards 14 TDs and 3 INTs before he was injured in the October 12 game at Georgia.

He returns to action Saturday against Ole Miss, as the Tigers continue their run at a possible SEC East title.
