EARTH CITY, Mo.—Rounds 4-7 of the NFL Draft are set to begin at 11am local time and the Rams have seven picks remaining total.  Given the amount of time their staff spent looking at quarterbacks over the last several weeks, it would surprise no one if they took a QB today.

In fact, given the fact the Rams don’t have a 5th rounder (due to the 2nd round trade up to get Florida State’s LaMarcus Joyner) it would seem likely the Rams would grab one in the 4th.

Alabama’s AJ McCarron, Pitt’s Tom Savage and even Georgia’s Aaron Murray are left on the board entering Day 3.

The Rams have said Sam Bradford is their starter and there’s no question about it.  But after losing Kellen Clemens in the offseason there is a need now to develop someone in a backup role.

Who knows?  That person could eventually turn out to be a starter down there road depending on what happens.
