ST. LOUIS (FootballStL) – It won’t happen today or tomorrow, but suspended defensive coordinator Gregg Williams could return to the Rams in the future.

Shortly after agreeing to become the next Rams defensive coordinator, Williams was suspended indefinitely for his role in the bounty scandal that rocked the league and the Saints.

Jeff Fisher has not named a defensive coordinator as Williams’ replacement and did not rule out a possible return for the suspended coordinator when addressing the issue with Detroit reporters.

“We’ll discuss that next year,” Fisher told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Williams’ return to the league is not up to Fisher, of course, but it is starting to sound like the Rams are keeping an open mind to the situation.
