HOUSTON (BaseballStL) – The St. Louis Cardinals are leaving a lasting mark on the Houston Astros before the team departs for the American League next season.  A 4-0 Cardinals win on Tuesday marked the tenth straight over the Astros.

The last time the Cardinals were beaten by the Astros was a 9-8 loss in Houston on June 5.  That game featured the same pitching matchup as the one on Tuesday night – Jaime Garcia vs. Lucas Harrell.  The Cardinals managed to score four runs in the top of the ninth, but failed to complete the comeback.

The Cardinals have outscored the Astros 66-18 during the ten-game streak which has included three shutouts.  Chris Carpenter and Bud Norris will get the nod for the series finale on Wednesday night.

Assuming the Cardinals make the Wild Card playoff game - who do you want on the mound? Share your thoughts.
