LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (KMOV) – Cardinals pitcher Brad Penny was slated to make his fourth start today against the hosting Atlanta Braves, but was scratched just a bit ago (11:40 CST) due to falling rain.

In Penny's stead, P.J. Walters will get the start. It's Walters first appearance of the spring to this point. Cards management hope to get Penny in the game if/when the rain stops.

The Braves, playing at their beautiful spring training home park inside the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex, will send Jair Jurrjens to the mound. The Braves’ right-hander is 1-0 in Grapefruit League play with a 9.00 ERA.

Weather could be a factor today here, as the forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms.

Random Notes:

- Cards’ 2009 first round pick Shelby Miller has been reassigned to minor league camp and is scheduled to pitch tomorrow. Pitchers Lance Lynn and Evan MacLane were reassigned.

- Cards' reliever Josh Kinney has been optioned to AAA Memphis. Kinney had not seen a lot of playing time for the Cardinals during Grapefruit League, so it's hardly a surprising move. In his last game against Washington on Friday, Kinney gave up two earned runs in one inning pitched.

Here is the line-ups for today’s game:

St. Louis Cardinals:

1. Skip Schumaker, 2B

2. Brendan Ryan, SS

3. Albert Pujols, 1B

4. Colby Rasmus, CF

5. Felipe Lopez, 3B

6. Yadier Molina, C

7. Nick Stavinoha, RF

8. Joe Mather, LF

9. P.J. Walters, RHP

Atlanta Braves:

2. Martin Prado, 2B

3. Chipper Jones, 3B

4. Brian McCann, C

5. Troy Glaus, 1B

6. Yunel Escobar, SS
