(BaseballStL) -- On Wednesday the Cardinals announced a night out at the ballpark to honor St. Louis-native and Mad Men star Jon Hamm.
Hamm will throw out the first pitch on Monday, August 18 as the Redbirds take on the Cincinnati Reds. A bobblehead will also be given out to those buying the special game ticket.
“I am beyond thrilled and tremendously honored that the St. Louis Cardinals are having ‘Jon Hamm Night’ at Busch Stadium,” Hamm responded, “I have been a fan of the team since before I can remember and participating in a night like this is simple mind-blowing.”
“I’d like to thank the team, the organization and the fans for participating in what I hope will be a fantastic night for everyone, but the Reds.”
Tickets for the night can be found here. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Hamm’s charity of choice – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The Cardinals have previously honored famous St. Louisans Chuck Berry, Bravo’s Seth Cohen and Nelly.
