(BaseballStL) -- The Cardinals completed their trade with the Brewers for reliever John Axford by sending RHP Michael Blazek to Milwaukee. He is the player-to-be-named-later in the deal.

The 24-year old had a 6.97 ERA with the Cards this year in just 10 and a third innings of work. But his big arm - it can hit the upper 90s - makes him someone scouts believe has a lot of potential.

The Brewers had placed a waiver claim on Blazek, a process necessary to complete trades at this time of the year.
